Nithyakarma Delivery Pipeline

A Java + Selenium + REST Assured suite delivered through Docker, a Kubernetes Job on kind (Chrome as a native sidecar) and a parameterised Jenkins pipeline, against the live app's production data. Secrets stay out of Git, image layers and logs; writes are opt-in and undone; every failure along the way is logged with cause and fix.

A community daily-ritual tracker, not a solo personal tool - built and maintained end to end for a wider group of practitioners. React + Vite PWA on Supabase, packaged for Android via Capacitor and live on Google Play. A GitHub Actions pipeline gates every release on automated tests. I own the product decisions, the build, the release, and the debugging.

A GenAI-powered recovery companion and caregiver support app, built solo in one hackathon sprint - with a real end-to-end test suite, not just a demo. Placed #6 on the leaderboard with 4 bonus-round rewards.

02 · Experience

QA Engineer I, XOGO

Sep 2022 - Present · Kochi, Kerala
  • Built the automation framework from zero in Cypress (JavaScript) on Azure DevOps (Sep 2022 - Jun 2023). Researched alternatives, presented my findings to leadership and led the migration to Playwright (TypeScript) for WebKit coverage and cleaner CI.
  • Grew the Playwright suite across the UI and API layers and replaced a multi-day manual release regression with automated runs in Azure DevOps CI.
  • Reduced flakiness by fixing root causes in unstable UI specs instead of adding retries.
  • Backend API testing in Playwright with schema validation, plus a separate Postman/Bruno suite. SQL (MS SQL Server) checks on backend data; performance testing with JMeter.
  • Co-own the release quality gate as one of two go/no-go owners, signing off production releases across the web manager, API and player apps (Android, iOS, Windows, Fire OS).
  • Own manual and exploratory testing across the device matrix: Android phones and tablets (including XOGO hardware), iOS, Windows UWP, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Signage Stick, Chromecast and Raspberry Pi 4B. Introduced Android automation with ADB.
  • Accessibility (WCAG) and visual regression checks. Shift-left: review Figma designs and work with product and dev to shape acceptance criteria for authentication, billing and access control.
  • Onboarded and mentored a second automation engineer, set the team's test standards and review automation PRs.

Who am I, actually?

Where it started

QA Engineer since Sep 2022, and the title undersells it - I built the test automation from zero and co-own release sign-off, not just test-case execution.

Where it went

That ownership pushed me deeper into automation, Linux, and tooling, then into building and shipping my own software: a community app live on Google Play, a quality lab and a delivery pipeline.

Where it's going

Deeper into SDET work: API automation, CI and framework design. Quality Lab is where I try those ideas in public first.
